Gabriella and I went to Atlanta to say "farewell" to our friends the Hackett's. Rachel, Mike, and Elijah are moving to Kuwait (temporarily) so next time these two lovebirds are photographed together again they will be toddlers...and Rachel could have another of her own on that hip...HA! Thank goodness for the internet, blogs, myspace, email, and cell phones.

Gabriella had her 6 month appointment on Thursday. She is still in the 90th percentile for height at 27 inches. Jim and I are afraid she may tower over us in our family pictures. Gabriella has more than doubled her birth weight, which is typical by 6 months. She weighs 16.6 pounds. The doctor was quite impressed with her development and thinks she may be walking by the holidays. We also decided to have Gabriella's ears pierced! She was such a brave girl and barely even fussed. Jim is a little sad because he thinks the earrings make her look more like a little girl and not a baby.

For a child that isn't crawling yet, Gabriella sure can get around. Maybe I should attach a Swifter cloth to her belly so she can get those hard to reach places.

Mad Skills!

In my Mommy & Me group we had a group discussion on the hazards of walkers. The presenter even suggested that the walkers are "archaic." We take precautionary measures to ensure Gabriella's safety and hopefully she will not have any negative physical side effects...from ALL THE FUN SHE HAS!!!!
